Medical technology has been improving at an incredible rate for the past several decades, leading to leaps and bounds in the quality of care for people around the world. This is especially true for the dental industry. Those are the most important developments in dental diagnostic technology and we're grateful for bring our patients the advantages of all of them.
One of the most important and exciting development in dental diagnostic technology in the past decade has been the advent of 3D dental imaging.
What is 3D dental imaging? Why is 3D dentistry better, and how does this affect you, the patient?
The short answer is this: 3D dental imaging is well on its way to becoming the new standard of dental care. This incredible technological advancement allows dentists to see your mouth in a way never previously possible with X-ray or medical CT scan technology. 3D dental imaging allows them to see your teeth and skull, diagnose any problems and provide more effective treatment for you.
To better understand what 3D dental imaging is, what it has done for the dental industry and what it can do for you and your dental care, we’ll walk you through the incredible machine that makes it possible.
CAD / CAM dental is a technological system that allows the design and development of dental prosthesis by computer. Through this digital technology we are able to design and manufacture dental rehabilitations extremely accurate and with the highest quality. These characteristics allow us to greatly shrink the human margin of error to achieve even higher success rates in treatments that require artificial parts.
At Quality Dental Team we use this technology to manufacture porcelain veneers, dentures, implant prostheses and other restorative treatments. In addition, the system provides other advantages such as reduction in number and time of surgery, surgery without an incision, greater surgical accuracy, less inflammation and allows us to have the teeth made on future implants even before the intervention.
L-PRF™ is a three-dimensional autogenous combination of Platelet Rich Fibrin derived from the patient’s blood. A simplified chair-side procedure results in the production of a thin, compressed layer of platelet rich fibrin that is strong, pliable and suitable for suturing. This natural fibrin network is rich in platelets, growth factors and cytokines that are derived from the blood platelets and leukocytes. The presence of these proteins have been reported to produce rapid healing, especially during the critical first seven days after placement. This network promotes more efficient cell migration and proliferation without chemical or bovine thrombin additives.
- 100% natural, i.e. no anticoagulants, no chemical additives.
- Slow and sustained release of growth factors for > 7 days.
- Reduced pain und patient discomfort.
- Improved wound healing.
